Assistant Professor ( BCA & MCA )

Location: Patiala, Punjab (Hybrid)

Reports to: Head of Department (respective school)


PW Digital University (PWDU) is an upcoming digital-first university to be established under the Punjab Private Digital Open Universities Policy, 2026, drawing on the technology and academic delivery expertise of PhysicsWallah's broader digital learning ecosystem.


Role Overview

PWDU is seeking Assistant Professors to drive academic content development and curriculum delivery for its degree programmes, working within a technology-enabled, UGC-compliant Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Education framework.


Key Responsibilities

● Develop and update course curriculum, SLM/e-content, and learning resources.

● Coordinate course delivery through the LMS.

● Conduct and monitor continuous assessments and examinations.

● Moderate discussion forums and provide academic support to learners.

● Coordinate with Course Mentors and other faculty for effective course delivery.

● Ensure quality, originality, and regulatory compliance of course content.

● Maintain course records and recommend improvements based on learner feedback.

● Develop, review, and maintain high-quality Self-Learning Materials (SLMs), video content, and assessments in line with UGC ODL and Online Regulations

● Ensure academic rigor and pedagogical quality across assigned subject areas

● Contribute to curriculum design, academic calendars, and departmental academic processes as per NEP-2020

● Conduct live classes for assigned courses, resolve students' queries


Eligibility per UGC norms

● Assistant Professor in the relevant discipline as per UGC norms.

● A PG Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) and a Ph.D. Degree or

● A PG degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) and qualification in the National Eligibility Test (NET /SLET/SET) or

● A PG degree (NCrF Level 7; e.g. M.E., M. Tech.,) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade). Preferred Experience

● Experience in content development, curriculum design, or teaching within an online/ODL environment

● Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital assessment systems


Compensation: As per market standards, commensurate with experience
