Role Summary

We are looking for a Bengali Language Specialist with strong translation and localization experience to support multilingual content across digital products and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate and edit a variety of content, including UI content and long-form text.
• Perform linguistic and functional testing of translated products.
• Identify and resolve linguistic, grammatical, and cultural issues.
• Maintain and update terminology databases and style guides.
• Provide linguistic and cultural expertise for localization projects.
• Provide linguistic guidance and support to vendor translation teams.
• Ensure translated content is accurate, natural, culturally appropriate, and consistent.

What We’re Looking For

• 100% native fluency in Bengali and near-native fluency in English.
• 3+ years of experience in English ↔ Bengali translation.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Good understanding of Bengali culture, language nuances, and current trends.
• Experience in localization, linguistic testing, or digital content is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience working in the social media, mobile, web, or digital product space.
• Familiarity with Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools.
• Experience working with translation/localization vendors.

Candidate Requirements

Must-have:

• Native-level Bengali fluency.
• Near-native English proficiency.
• 3+ years of English ↔ Bengali translation/localization experience.
