BIM Modeler

Role: BIM Modeler - Mechanical/Electrical

Job Summary

Produces assigned model elements and drawing sheets under supervision, working to defined standards and templates. Output is reviewed by a Senior BIM Modeller before release. The role is a training track: the expectation is measurable progression toward independent ownership of a system or zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models per issued design/construction drawings.
• Follow modelling standards, templates, and naming conventions set by the BIM Lead.
• Flag design or coordination issues discovered during modelling.
• Support preparation of drawings, schedules, and basic BOQs.
• Participate in internal training to build modelling proficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience. Fresh graduates with formal Revit MEP training will be considered.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical
• Working Revit (MEP) capability — must demonstrate modelling a basic system live at interview, not certificates alone.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, legends and schedules.
• Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD.

Preferred (Training Provided)

• Navisworks; BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Awareness of SMACNA, ASHRAE and NFPA basics.
