Job Description

Position: Community Care Coordinator (CCC)

Location: Haralur



Role Overview:

The Community Care Coordinator (CCC) is the primary point of connection between families, classrooms, and the centre leadership. This role ensures smooth day-to-day coordination of child care, parent communication, admissions support, transitions between programs (preschool ↔ daycare), and overall family experience at the centre. The CCC plays a critical role in creating a warm, responsive, and well-managed care ecosystem for children and parents.


Key Responsibilities:

Child & Family Coordination

● Serve as the first point of contact for parents for daycare and care-related queries.

● Support child transitions between age groups, programs, and routines.

● Monitor daily attendance, arrivals, departures, and extended care schedules.

● Ensure children’s care needs are communicated clearly to teachers and caregivers.

Daycare Operations

● Oversee smooth functioning of the daycare program (from 9:30 am onwards)

● Coordinate staffing schedules for daycare, including handovers between teachers and caretakers.

● Ensure compliance with child–adult ratios and safety protocols.

● Track daycare enrolment

Parent Communication

● Maintain consistent, empathetic communication with parents.

● Share daily updates, reminders, and care-related information.

● Address parent concerns in coordination with the Centre Head and teaching team.

● Support onboarding of new families into daycare and preschool programs.

Centre Coordination

● Work closely with teachers, housekeeping, security, and support staff.

● Ensure readiness of shared spaces used for care (rest areas, washrooms, nap zones)

● Coordinate meal times, nap schedules, and hygiene routines.

● Support emergency response and escalation when required.

Documentation & Records

● Maintain accurate records for attendance, daycare usage, authorizations, and care notes

● Ensure consent forms, emergency contacts, and medical information are up to date.

● Support Centre Head with basic reports and operational tracking.

Safety & Compliance

● Ensure children are released only to authorized adults.

● Follow child safety, health, and hygiene protocols strictly.

● Coordinate with nurse/medical support (if applicable) and manage first-level incident documentation.


Qualifications & Experience:

Experience

● 2–4 years of experience in childcare, preschool/daycare operations, school coordination, or family services.

● Experience working directly with parents and young children is a plus.
