Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and various costing methodologies.
- Manage inventory valuation through ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 (Axapta).
- Analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), gross margins, and net profitability.
- Review and validate job card closures, production transactions, inventory movements, stock transfers, and material consumption at the transaction level.
- Verify the accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure ERP data is maintained as per approved BOMs.
- Calculate and monitor overhead absorption through the ERP system.
- Prepare product costing and pricing to support the CRM and Sales teams.
- Prepare production and sales budgets related to costing.
- Monitor demand and consumption of high-value consumables such as Gold Plating Chemicals (GPC), Rhodium, and other critical materials across manufacturing units.
- Conduct profitability analysis by Sales Order, Customer, Product, and Business Unit.
- Analyze production efficiency and precious metal losses (Gross & Net) department-wise and metal-wise.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Study and analyze consumables consumption patterns to optimize utilization.
- Conduct cost investigations and variance analysis whenever required.
- Monitor inventory movements, including non-moving, slow-moving, and high-moving inventory, and control scrap ratios and metal loss reconciliations.
- Perform month-end inventory recalculation and inventory valuation closing in the ERP system.
- Reconcile ERP inventory with physical inventory, investigate discrepancies, and provide justifications.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports and dashboards related to costing, inventory, and profitability for management review.
Qualifications & Experience:
- CMA Requried.
- 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in a manufacturing organization.
- Experience in ERP-based costing and inventory modules is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 (Axapta) is an advantage.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cost and inventory accounting.
- ERP and inventory valuation expertise.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MIS reporting.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and production costing.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
