Dell Boomi Architect – Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dell Boomi Architect to design, develop, and manage enterprise integration solutions using the Boomi platform. The candidate will play a key role in architecting scalable integrations across cloud and on-premise systems while ensuring performance, security, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture
- Design end-to-end integration architecture using Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
- Define integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, batch, real-time).
- Create scalable, reusable, and fault-tolerant integration solutions.
- Lead architecture discussions and provide technical leadership.
2. Boomi Development & Implementation
- Develop integrations using:
- Boomi Process Design
- Connectors (REST, SOAP, JDBC, FTP, SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
- Design and implement APIs using Boomi API Management.
- Build reusable components, shared libraries, and integration templates.
3. Integration Strategy & Governance
- Define integration standards, best practices, and frameworks.
- Ensure governance across integrations (naming conventions, logging, error handling).
- Conduct design and code reviews.
4. System Integration
- Integrate enterprise applications like:
- ERP (SAP, Oracle)
- CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics)
- HR systems, e-commerce platforms, databases
- Work with hybrid architectures (cloud + on-prem).
5. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting
- Monitor integration performance and optimize throughput.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues.
- Implement error-handling strategies and monitoring dashboards.
6. Security & Compliance
- Apply security best practices (OAuth, TLS, API security).
- Ensure integration complies with enterprise and regulatory standards.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and external vendors.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Communicate architectural decisions to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Dell Boomi AtomSphere Platform
- Experience with:
- API Management & EDI
- Integration patterns and middleware concepts
- Proficiency in:
- REST/SOAP APIs
- JSON, XML, XSLT
- SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ – optional but valuable)
Experience
- 5–8+ years in integration/middleware development
- 3–5+ years hands-on with Dell Boomi
- Experience as an architect or lead role is preferred
Certifications (Preferred)
- Dell Boomi:
- Professional Developer
- Integration Architect
- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) – added advantage
Soft Skills
