Job Description
15 to 20 years in Automotive manufacturing and R & D, preferably in prototype or new product development.
1. Lead cross-functional teams in prototype development with coordination between project team, COE and internal team to ensure seamless integration of vehicle build
2. Accountable for achieving Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Cost targets in prototype builds.
3. Define build strategy, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Anticipate potential design and packaging failures, implement preventive measures, and ensure robust DFMEA practices.
5. Oversee manpower planning, skill development, and team capability building to meet current and future program needs.
6. Provide executive-level reporting on build progress, concerns, and resolutions to senior leadership.
7. Ensure build deliverables meet internal and external customer expectations for quality, safety, and performance.
8. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure program continuity, quality assurance, and cost control.
9. Define and drive the overall build strategy for prototype vehicles, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and MPDS guidelines.
10. Establish and continuously improve build processes, standards, and quality frameworks across multiple programs.
11. Drive skill development through targeted training programs and lead improvement initiatives on the proto line.
