Deputy Vice President - Data Scientist

Job Description

Role Purpose

To oversee the preparation of business insights and data visualization dashboards, develop credit and fraud risk models, and ensure effective deployment of credit and fraud decision engines.

Role Accountability

1. Explore data and transform it into business insights by applying both data analytics and business knowledge
\n
2. Provide user-friendly visualization of data and business insights by creating dashboards leveraging any business intelligence (BI) software
\n
3. Develop credit and fraud risk models by applying advanced AI/ML techniques.
\n
4. Ensure model deployment either in credit & fraud decision engines or turbine/data lake
\n
5. Monitor & validate all models/scorecards
\n

Measures of Success

1. Ensure the timely development of the models as per plan
\n
2. Model efficacy in terms of consistency & reliability
\n
3. Model validation & redevelopment as per agreed timelines
\n
4. Effective resolution of Business problems related to modeling or data visualization
\n
5. Process Adherence as per MOU
\n

Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications

\n
1. Good knowledge of handling Big Data in Hadoop/Spark/AWS platforms
\n
2. Expertise in AI/ML techniques like Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks etc.
\n
3. Good understanding of programming languages SQL, Python, R, Scala
\n
