Design Engineer – Façade

Location - Mumbai

Position: Design Engineer – Façade & Window

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for facade, curtain wall, glazing, windows, and doors.
• Study architectural and structural drawings and coordinate with project requirements.
• Design aluminum window, door, curtain wall, skylight, and cladding systems.
• Perform material take-offs and prepare design-related BOQs.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, clients, and project teams.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, safety standards, and industry codes.
• Review and approve fabrication drawings before production.
• Resolve technical issues during fabrication and installation stages.
• Prepare design calculations and technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of façade systems, curtain walls, glazing, aluminum windows, and doors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Revit, or SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Understanding of aluminum profiles, glass specifications, and façade materials.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience in façade, glazing, aluminum windows & doors design.
