Director Asset Management

Description

The Head – Assets will be responsible for building, scaling, and managing the entire asset franchise of the NBFC, including origination, credit, underwriting, portfolio management, and collections. The role will focus on creating a high-quality, profitable, and diversified loan book while maintaining strong asset quality and disciplined risk management.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both execution and strategic business building.

1. Execution

• Drive loan origination across SME, MSME, Corporate, Retail, and Loan Against Securities (LAS) segments
• Build sourcing channels through OEMs, dealers, DSAs, channel partners, and direct client relationships
• Lead the complete credit lifecycle: customer acquisition, appraisal, underwriting, documentation, disbursement, and post-disbursement monitoring
• Own portfolio performance, including disbursements, yield, collections, PAR, NPAs, and recoveries
• Work closely with Operations, Legal, and Collections teams to ensure efficient execution and customer servicing

2. Strategy: Build the Asset Franchise (0 → Scale)

• Develop the end-to-end asset growth strategy aligned with the NBFC‘s business expansion plans
• Design scalable lending products and identify high-potential customer segments and industry verticals
• Establish robust credit policies, underwriting standards, pricing frameworks, and risk scorecards
• Build a repeatable and data-driven origination engine with strong governance and portfolio analytics
• Support the NBFC‘s evolution from a single-product lending platform to a diversified multi-product asset business
