Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Develop, integrate and validate Battery Management System hardware for lithium-ion battery packs. Responsible for circuit design, component selection, hardware validation, debugging, and support of automotive-grade BMS product development activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware Development
  • Design and develop BMS hardware modules as per system requirements.
  • Prepare hardware requirements and design documentation.
  • Support analog and mixed-signal circuit development.
  • Perform component selection and design calculations.
  • Develop schematics and support PCB layout activities.
  • Design & Analysis
  • Perform circuit simulation using LT Spice/PSpice.
  • Support Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA).
  • Prepare EBOM and hardware design deliverables.
  • Participate in design reviews and layout reviews.
  • Support hardware-software interface definitions
  • Validation & Testing
  • Execute board bring-up and hardware debugging activities.
  • Perform functional, environmental and vehicle-level testing.
  • Support EMI/EMC/ESD qualification testing.
  • Use oscilloscopes, data loggers and laboratory equipment for validation.
  • Analyze failures and support root cause investigations
  • Product Quality & Compliance
  • Follow automotive hardware development processes.
  • Support DFMEA and reliability activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable automotive and BMS standards.
  • Maintain complete design and validation documentation
  • Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with software, system, validation and manufacturing teams.
  • Support customer testing and issue resolution.
  • Participate in prototype build and production support activities


Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation or related discipline.
  • M.Tech preferred but not mandatory.
  • 3–8 years of experience in automotive electronics hardware development.
  • Experience in BMS, Power Electronics, EV Controllers, PDU, MCU or automotive ECUs preferred.
