F&A Transition Director

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Director – F&A Transitions to lead complex, multi-country Finance & Accounting transitions and transformation programs for global clients. The role will own the end-to-end transition lifecycle, from solutioning and due diligence through knowledge transfer, migration, stabilization and handover to steady-state operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end F&A transitions across processes including P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, AP/AR, Credit & Collections and Record-to-Report.
• Manage large-scale global transitions, migrations, consolidations, carve-outs, insourcing/outsourcing and transformation programs across multiple geographies.
• Own transition governance, including transition strategy, project plans, milestones, RAID management, dependencies, risks and issue resolution.
• Partner with Pre-Sales and Solutioning teams on RFP/RFI responses, solution design, effort estimation, staffing models, costing and transition commercials.
• Develop and execute transition methodologies, playbooks, KT plans, governance frameworks and operational readiness models.
• Lead process transformation and automation initiatives using RPA, AI, GenAI, analytics and digital solutions to improve efficiency and reduce transition/steady-state costs.
• Manage senior client stakeholders, including CFO, Finance Controllers, Global Process Owners and Transformation Leaders, and conduct executive governance reviews.
• Build and lead high-performing transition/project management teams, mentoring senior transition managers and developing leadership capability.

Required Experience

• 15+ years of experience in F&A, Finance Transformation, Global Business Services/Shared Services or BPM/IT services.
• 8+ years of experience in leading large-scale F&A transitions across global clients.
• Strong experience managing multi-country and multi-process transitions.
• Proven experience in RFP/RFI solutioning, transition costing, commercial modelling and client presentations.
• Strong understanding of F&A operating models, process controls and transformation.
• Experience managing large transition portfolios, budgets and distributed teams.
• Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or similar is desirable
