French Teacher

• Plan and deliver engaging French language lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
• Teach French grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and conversation.
• Develop lesson plans, worksheets, activities, projects, and other teaching resources.
• Assess and monitor students’ academic progress through tests, assignments, projects, and oral activities.
• Provide constructive feedback and additional support to students who need it.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment.
• Use technology, multimedia, and innovative teaching methods to enhance language learning.
• Introduce students to French-speaking cultures, history, literature, and traditions.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress when required.
• Collaborate with other teachers and participate in meetings, school events, and professional-development activities.
• Prepare students for French proficiency examinations such as DELF, where applicable.
• Support extracurricular activities, language clubs, cultural events, and French-related competitions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, Foreign Languages, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written French.
• Relevant teaching qualification/certification, where required.
• Prior experience teaching French is preferred.
• Knowledge of modern language-teaching methodologies.
• Good command of English for explaining concepts to students, where applicable.
• Strong classroom-management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and online learning platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• DELF/DALF certification, preferably B2 or above.
• FLE (Français Langue Étrangère) certification or relevant language-teaching qualification.
• Experience preparing students for DELF/TEF/TCF examinations.
• Experience in an international, CBSE, similar school environment, depending on the institution.
