Role Summary: We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Administrator to support the day-to-day operation of our internal IT systems and assist the network operations team. You will be the first line of support for employees, help maintain servers and business applications, and gain hands-on exposure to ISP-grade infrastructure and telecom compliance processes.


Key Responsibilities


Internal IT Support

• Provide Level 1/Level 2 support to employees for desktops, laptops, printers, email, and business applications; log and track tickets through resolution.

• Create, modify, and disable user accounts and access rights in Active Directory / Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace.

• Install, configure, and patch operating systems (Windows and Linux) and standard software.

• Maintain the IT asset inventory and coordinate hardware procurement, repairs, and warranty claims.


Systems & Infrastructure

• Assist in administering internal servers (file, mail, DNS, DHCP, backup) and virtualised environments (VMware / Proxmox / Hyper-V).

• Monitor system health, backups, and antivirus/endpoint protection; escalate incidents to senior staff.

• Support the NOC with basic tasks such as monitoring dashboards, first-level alarm triage, and configuration backups of routers and switches.

• Help maintain office LAN/Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPN access for staff.


Compliance & Documentation

• Assist in maintaining records required under the ISP license, including subscriber KYC/CAF documentation, IP allocation records, and log retention as mandated by DoT.

• Support periodic security audits (DoT, ISO 27001, internal) by gathering evidence and updating documentation.

• Maintain up-to-date IT policies, SOPs, network diagrams, and configuration records.


Vendor & Customer Coordination

• Liaise with hardware, software, and bandwidth vendors for support and AMC renewals.

• Occasionally assist customer support with technical escalations related to CPE, Wi-Fi routers, or connectivity troubleshooting.


Required Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field (B.E./B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc IT/MCA).

• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.

• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, and basic routing/switching concepts.

• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace administration.

• Good written and spoken English;

• Willingness to be on call for critical incidents.


Preferred Qualifications


• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, RHCSA, or Microsoft Fundamentals.

• Exposure to ISP equipment and platforms (MikroTik, Juniper, Cisco, Huawei, OLT/ONT, RADIUS/AAA, BNG). • Basic scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).

• Awareness of DoT/TRAI regulatory requirements for ISPs and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
