Position Title: Manager Engineering

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead our Supply Chain engineering teams. This leader will be responsible for building and scaling world-class search and product discovery experiences that power our grocery retail platform. You will drive the technical strategy, architecture, and execution of our Supply Chain and Catalog systems, ensuring seamless, personalized, and high-performance experiences for millions of customers.


Roles & responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams focused on search relevance, catalog management, and product discovery.
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for Supply chain platforms, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, UX, and Business teams to deliver innovative and scalable solutions.
  • Champion engineering excellence, agile practices, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, resiliency, and modularity of supply chain
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML, search technologies, and eCommerce innovation.


Experience Required:

  • 9+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience building and leading high-performance teams
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Proven experience building large-scale consumer facing applications
  • Ability to create, influence and present complex system architecture and design
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A problem-solver – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and you find ways to get things done
  • Strong strategic planning and project execution skills.
  • Inspiring team leadership style, both for direct reports and peer teams

Preferred:

  • Experience in retail, or consumer-facing digital platforms.
  • Omnichannel Product Catalog management and integration with PIM and other systems
  • Familiarity with personalization, taxonomy, and product data enrichment.
  • Familiarity with GitHub CoPilot and other developer productivity tools and frameworks.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience in QA, SDET, or Quality Engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript and/or Python.
  • Experience in API testing and validating distributed systems.
  • Performance testing expertise with tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with automated unit and integration testing tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Rest-Assured, Karate, or Cucumber.
  • Familiarity with mobile testing tools such as Appium or Espresso is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • DevOps familiarity, including Docker and/or Kubernetes, is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and architectural principles for scalable, maintainable systems.


AI-Related Skills and Experience:

  • This role specifically requires candidates who can support AI-driven products and workflows. Ideal candidates should have:
  • Experience testing AI/ML systems, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows.
  • Familiarity with validating AI outputs for accuracy, consistency, safety, latency, and reliability.
  • Understanding of how to test systems that use prompting, retrieval, tool use, and multi-step orchestration.
  • Experience using or evaluating AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Cursor or similar tools.
  • Ability to design test strategies for AI features where outputs may be probabilistic rather than deterministic.
  • Comfort working with engineering teams building AI-enabled applications, copilots, or multi-agent systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in frontend testing with React and TypeScript.
  • Background in performance and capacity planning for distributed and mobile environments.
  • Exposure to cloud-native engineering practices and scalable test infrastructure.
  • Experience mentoring others and raising quality standards across teams.
