Job Description

Role: MTS 2 - Embedded Software Engineer(BMS)


Location: Euler Motors, Delhi


Technical Skills Required:


Requirements


1. 4+ years of experience in Embedded Software/Firmware Development.

2. Hands-on experience with RTOS-based systems (FreeRTOS, ThreadX, Zephyr, or equivalent).

3. Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as CAN/CAN-FD, I2C, SPI, Iso-SPI,

UART, and RS485.

4. Experience in Battery Management System (BMS) firmware development and battery monitoring

applications.

5. Hands-on experience in algorithm development and implementation for Lithium-Ion batteries,

particularly LFP cells (SOC, SOH, SOP, cell balancing, fault detection, and protection algorithms).

6. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol

analyzers, and debuggers.

7. Good understanding of microcontroller architectures, peripherals, interrupts, DMA, and memory

management (STM32 and NXP preferred).

8. Experience developing low-level device drivers and HAL abstractions.

9. Familiarity with ADCs, sensors, EEPROMs, Flash memory, and battery monitoring ICs.

10. Understanding of embedded software design patterns, modular architecture, and code

optimization techniques.

11. Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.

12. Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, SIL/HIL testing, and automated test frameworks.

13. Understanding of MISRA-C guidelines and secure coding practices.

14. Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Design.

15. Ability to take ownership of features,Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis

skills.

16. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

17. Experience with developing, validating, or utilizing Equivalent Circuit Models (ECM) for various

lithium-ion cell chemistries (LFP, NMC, etc.) to support battery characterization, simulation, and

state estimation

Good to Have:

1. Familiarity with automotive functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 and experience

working within safety-oriented development processes.

2. Understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) processes, software development lifecycle, and

traceability requirements.

3. Exposure to AUTOSAR architecture, software components, and automotive software development

methodologies.

4. Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), Functional Safety Concepts (FSC),

and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).

5. Experience creating and maintaining safety-related work products including requirements, design

documents, verification reports, and traceability matrices.

6. Familiarity with static analysis, code reviews, and compliance with coding standards such as

MISRA-C/MISRA-C++.

7. Understanding of FMEA, DFMEA, SFMEA, FMEDA, and fault-tree analysis methodologies.

8. Exposure to safety-critical communication protocols and diagnostic standards such as UDS, OBD,

and CAN-FD diagnostics.
