Principal Consultant – AI Consulting
Location: PAN India (Hybrid)
About the Role
Infosys Consulting is looking for experienced AI Consulting professionals to join our Technology Transformation Practice as Principal Consultants. This role requires a unique blend of AI technology expertise, strategic consulting capabilities, and executive stakeholder management skills.
As a Principal Consultant, you will help global enterprises define, design, and operationalize AI-driven transformations across Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and Enterprise AI Platforms while delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Advisory
- Develop enterprise-wide AI adoption strategies and transformation roadmaps.
- Evaluate AI maturity and identify high-impact business use cases.
- Advise CIOs and technology leaders on AI investments, platform selection, and governance frameworks.
- Assess emerging trends in AI models, agent frameworks, interoperability protocols, and enterprise AI platforms.
AI Architecture & Platform Design
- Design and implement Agentic AI solutions, multi-agent architectures, and enterprise AI platforms.
- Lead architecture decisions involving LLMs, copilots, AI assistants, RAG frameworks, and agent orchestration.
- Define scalable AI operating models, including MLOps, LLMOps, and AgentOps.
- Drive AI platform integration, security, governance, and performance optimization.
AI Governance & Risk Management
- Develop Responsible AI frameworks and governance models.
- Establish compliance, ethical AI, and risk management practices.
- Design human-in-the-loop oversight and escalation mechanisms for AI systems.
Transformation Execution
- Lead client workshops, assessments, and transformation initiatives.
- Define future-state operating models and transformation roadmaps.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver strategic AI programs.
- Drive executive presentations, recommendations, and change management initiatives.
Business Development
- Support proposal development and AI transformation pursuits.
- Contribute to thought leadership, client presentations, webinars, and industry discussions.
- Help shape Infosys Consulting's AI consulting offerings and market positioning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, digital transformation, or AI advisory engagements.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Agentic AI & Generative AI Solution Design
- AI/ML Engineering and MLOps/LLMOps/AgentOps
- AI Strategy, Governance & Responsible AI
- Data & Cloud Engineering
- Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, IT systems, and transformation methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks and cloud AI platforms.
- Experience in IT strategy, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
- Professional certifications such as:
- TOGAF
- ITIL Foundation
- Azure AI Engineer / OpenAI Specialization
- AWS Machine Learning Specialty
- Google Cloud GenAI / ML Certifications
- PMP / PRINCE2 (preferred)
