Regional Domain Lead - Business Intelligence & AI

ROLE MANDATE

Own and scale the regional Business Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence practice, delivering trusted insight, responsible AI adoption, and measurable business value across operating companies and functions.

1. Role Summary

The Regional Domain Lead - Business Intelligence & AI will own the regional strategy, governance, architecture, delivery, and adoption of Analytics and Artificial Intelligence capabilities across the BAMSCA region.

This role is accountable for establishing a data-driven and AI-enabled organisation through the strategic use of Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Azure AI Services, Microsoft Copilot, and Generative AI technologies. The incumbent will lead the BAMSCA Region BI & AI practice, drive enterprise-wide analytics maturity, develop AI use cases, and partner with business leadership to unlock measurable business value through data and AI.

The role acts as the bridge between business functions, including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and HR, and technology teams, ensuring that analytics and AI initiatives align with Global Strategy, Governance requirements, and digital transformation objectives.

Regional BI & AI Strategy Leadership

• Define and execute the regional Data, Analytics & AI roadmap aligned with the Global digital transformation priorities.

• Establish and lead the BI & AI CoE for the region.

• Identify, prioritize, and govern the BI and AI portfolio based on business value, ROI, complexity, and strategic importance.

• Partner with Regional leadership and OCs to identify opportunities for AI-driven productivity, automation, and decision intelligence.

• Develop business cases, investment proposals, and benefit realisation frameworks for BI and AI initiatives.

• Influence executive stakeholders through analytics storytelling and AI innovation workshops.

• Drive adoption of enterprise AI solutions, including Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered business assistants.

2. Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Analytics Leadership

• Own and govern the BAMSCA region Power BI ecosystem, including architecture, administration, security, performance optimization, and workspace governance.

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise reporting solutions supporting Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain.

• Establish self-service BI capabilities while maintaining strong governance standards.

• Architect enterprise semantic models, reusable datasets, data marts, and analytical frameworks.

• Standardize KPI definitions, business metrics, and reporting methodologies across operating companies.

• Drive advanced analytics initiatives, including predictive and prescriptive analytics.

• Ensure business users can access trusted, accurate, and timely information for decision-making.

AI, Copilot & Generative AI Leadership

• Lead the BAMSCA Region AI agenda leveraging Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Microsoft Fabric AI capabilities.

• Build and maintain the regional AI use-case pipeline across all OCs/business functions.

• Design and deploy AI-powered assistants, knowledge bots, agentic workflows, and conversational AI solutions.

• Establish governance, security, and responsible AI practices for enterprise AI adoption.

• Partner with business leaders to improve productivity through Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled workflows.

• Drive AI innovation initiatives using LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), intelligent document processing, knowledge management, and AI-powered decision support systems.

• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend strategic adoption opportunities.

Data Architecture, Platform & Governance

• Define and govern enterprise data architecture standards across BAMSCA solutions.

• Lead modernization of the data platform utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.

• Ensure high levels of data quality, integrity, consistency, lineage, and governance.

• Establish master data, metadata, and data quality management practices.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including DPDPA, PDPA, GDPR, and internal governance frameworks.

• Collaborate with global architecture teams on platform standardization and scalability.

Delivery & Team Leadership

• Lead a team of BI Developers & external partner to ensure Run/Availability, Continuous improvement and effective usage of BI AI tech.

• Manage project delivery, resource planning, budgeting, vendor management, and service performance.

• Establish delivery methodologies, quality standards, and operational processes for analytics and AI solutions.

• Build BAMSCA AI and BI capabilities through mentoring, coaching, and structured competency development.

• Develop succession planning and capability-building programs within the Data & AI practice.

Business Value Realization

• Define measurable business outcomes and success criteria for BI and AI programs.

• Track adoption, usage, ROI, productivity gains, and business impact.

• Develop dashboards for leadership visibility into digital transformation outcomes.

• Promote continuous improvement and innovation through analytics and AI.

4. Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's in CS, IT, Engineering, Math, or related field. A Master's in Business, Analytics, Data Science, AI, or related discipline is preferred.

Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Digital Transformation.

• Minimum 5 years leading Regional or Global analytics programs.

• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale Power BI environments.

• Proven experience implementing Azure-based analytics and AI solutions.

• Experience leading AI adoption programs involving Copilot, Generative AI, or Azure OpenAI.

• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA, commercial systems, and enterprise applications.
