Position as Functional Safety Engineer in Leading-Edge Semiconductor Solutions

We are currently seeking a Safety Engineer (m/f/d) for a globally recognized market leader in secure connectivity and embedded semiconductor solutions (locations in Bangalore & Noida). Within the dedicated Functional Safety Competence Center, you will collaborate with world-class engineers driving innovation across the automotive and industrial sectors.
In this role, you are not just a cog in the wheel—you actively define, analyze, and validate safety concepts and architectures from the ground up. Acting as a vital bridge between systems, hardware, software, and implementation teams, you ensure that next-generation semiconductor products meet the highest safety, certifiability, and compliance standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Define, analyze, and validate safety concepts and architectures for safety-compliant semiconductor products.
- Develop functional safety requirements and ensure comprehensive traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform thorough safety analyses at IP and SoC levels to address potential risks and establish robust mitigation mechanisms.
- Partner closely with systems, hardware, software, and implementation teams to deliver robust, certifiable solutions.
- Drive and ensure a Functional Safety-compliant development process aligned with industry safety standards.
Your Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- 5–8 years of experience in semiconductor product development with exposure to functional safety.
- Strong understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor architectures and their application in automotive or industrial safety domains.
- Strong understanding of IP- and SoC-level safety mechanisms and safety analysis techniques.
- Self-driven, analytical, and solution-oriented approach with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Business fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Strong background in chip design architecture combined with high motivation to learn and specialize in Functional Safety.
- Hands-on experience with relevant automotive and industrial functional safety standards (such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508).
