SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) Consultant/Developer

We are looking for an experienced SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) professional to design, develop, and implement intelligent automation solutions across SAP and non-SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in workflow automation, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and integration with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions using SAP Build Process Automation (workflows, decisions, and RPA bots).
• Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities across SAP ECC/S4HANA and third-party applications.
• Build and configure workflows using BPA's low-code/no-code capabilities, including forms, approvals, and business rules.
• Develop RPA bots for desktop and browser automation to handle repetitive, rule-based tasks.
• Integrate BPA solutions with SAP BTP services (CAP, Integration Suite, Event Mesh) and other SAP modules (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.).
• Configure decision tables and business rules for dynamic process logic.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into automation designs.
• Perform unit testing, UAT support, and troubleshoot issues in automation workflows.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for security, scalability, and performance in automation design.
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live support.
• Stay updated with SAP BTP roadmap and new BPA features/releases.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of overall SAP experience, with at least 1.5–2 years hands-on in SAP Build Process Automation (or SAP Workflow Management / SAP Intelligent RPA background).
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP architecture and services (Cloud Foundry, Integration Suite, Extension Suite).
• Experience with workflow design, form building (Adaptive/SAPUI5 forms), and business rules configuration.
• Hands-on experience with RPA bot development (desktop/cloud studio) — SAP Intelligent RPA experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of APIs, OData services, and integration patterns for connecting SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Experience integrating with SAP modules such as S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, or Concur is desirable.
• Understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 basics for form customization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in agile/scrum environments.

Required Skills

• SAP BTP or SAP Build certification.
• Experience with SAP Signavio for process mining/insights.
• Exposure to Java/JavaScript/Node.js for custom extensions.
• Prior experience in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
