2. Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in Embedded C, AUTOSAR, CAN/LIN communication, UDS diagnostics, bootloader development, CAN Network Management, and automotive software development.
The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, debugging, and maintenance of embedded software modules for automotive applications. The role requires hands-on experience with communication protocols, diagnostic stacks, software updates, cybersecurity, microcontrollers, debugging tools, and automotive development processes.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and maintain CAN and LIN communication software using both AUTOSAR and Non-AUTOSAR architectures.
- Develop robust embedded software using C programming for automotive applications.
- Design, develop, maintain, and debug UDS Diagnostic Stack based on ISO 14229.
- Work on DCM and DEM configuration, integration, development, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain UDS-based Bootloader software.
- Design and implement CAN Network Management (CanNm) configuration and development.
- Develop and support Software Update over CAN, including implementation of relevant cybersecurity mechanisms.
- Analyze and resolve software defects using advanced troubleshooting and debugging techniques.
- Perform software module design, unit testing, integration testing, defect fixing, and root-cause analysis.
- Use advanced debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve complex embedded software issues.
- Work with software configuration, version control, change management, requirement management, and defect tracking systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system, hardware, validation, testing, and integration teams.
- Ensure software development activities comply with defined quality processes and automotive development standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development, testing, and debugging processes.
4. Technical Skills & Experience
Must-Have Skills
- Strong programming experience in Embedded C.
- Hands-on experience with CAN and LIN communication protocols.
- Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and development.
- Strong knowledge of UDS Diagnostic Protocol – ISO 14229.
- Hands-on experience with DCM and DEM.
- Experience in Bootloader development.
- Experience with CAN Network Management.
- Experience in software update over CAN.
- Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity concepts.
- Strong experience in embedded software debugging and troubleshooting.
- Experience in unit testing, defect fixing, integration, and software validation.
Communication Protocols
Strong knowledge of:
- CAN

- I2C
- SPI
- LVDS
5. Microcontroller Knowledge
Hands-on knowledge of peripherals and development environments for automotive microcontroller families such as:
- Infineon AURIX TC2XX / TC3XX
- Infineon Traveo-2
- MPC / NXP Microcontrollers
- Renesas Microcontrollers
Knowledge of microcontroller peripherals, low-level drivers, interrupts, timers, communication interfaces, memory, and hardware-software interaction is preferred.
6. Debugging & Development Tools
Experience with automotive embedded debugging and development tools, including:
- GHS Probe Debugger
- Lauterbach / TRACE32
- Power Debug
- Power Trace
- Power Integrator
- PRACTICE scripting language
Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in debugging complex embedded software issues using debuggers, trace tools, logs, and other troubleshooting techniques.
7. Software Development & Process Knowledge
- Experience with software configuration management tools.
- Experience with requirement management / requirement gathering tools.
- Experience with defect tracking tools
