Lead Engineer - Java + AWS

Description

We are helping our client hire an experienced Lead Engineer to lead the team in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient cloud-based applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient cloud-based applications on AWS.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards for cloud-based applications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and technologies.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Java and J2EE.
• Expertise in AWS services, including ALB, API Gateway, Auto Scaling Group, CloudWatch, CloudWatch Logs, CodePipeline, and EKS.
• Experience with AWS Aurora Postgres, S3, and S3 File Upload is a plus.
• Strong technical leadership skills, excellent communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Copilot Studio is a plus.
• Experience working on leading-edge, AI-driven product development initiatives, with the flexibility to collaborate across global time zones as required.
