Hiring: Senior Java Engineer (Kafka / Streaming Focus)

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 4+ Years

Work Mode: Hybrid


Scope of Work

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
  • Build secure microservices with JWT authentication, validation, and error handling.
  • Design and optimize MongoDB schemas, indexes, and aggregation pipelines.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS EC2 and IAM.
  • Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Design and implement real-time streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
  • Manage Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, and offsets.
  • Configure and maintain Kafka Connect integrations.
  • Build CDC pipelines using Debezium for MySQL/Aurora data capture.
  • Manage Schema Registry and schema evolution using Avro/JSON.
  • Develop stream-processing applications using Kafka Streams or Flink.
  • Monitor Kafka environments, including DLQs, consumer lag, and performance.
  • Support Kafka deployments on Confluent Platform or AWS MSK.


Mandatory Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
  • Strong knowledge of JWT authentication, validation, and exception handling.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB schema design, indexing, and aggregations.
  • Experience with AWS EC2 and IAM.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Strong understanding of DSA, including arrays, trees, graphs, hashing, and complexity.
  • Expertise in Apache Kafka, including topics, partitions, consumer groups, and offsets.
  • Experience with Kafka Connect source and sink connectors.
  • Knowledge of Debezium CDC, binlog capture, and GTID handling.
  • Familiarity with Schema Registry, Avro, and JSON schema evolution.
  • Experience with Kafka Streams or Apache Flink.
  • Knowledge of DLQ handling, lag monitoring, and Kafka tuning.
  • Exposure to Confluent Platform or AWS MSK preferred.
