Job Overview:

The Service Engineer – Mechanical will be responsible for field service activities related to installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and breakdown support of mechanical vacuum pumps and vacuum systems at customer sites. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, commissioning, and start-up of vacuum pumps and systems at customer sites
• Preventive maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting
• Mechanical fault diagnosis and corrective actions
• Overhauling and repair of vacuum pump components
• Customer interaction and technical support
• Adherence to safety procedures and PPE norms
• Preparation of service and failure analysis reports
• Coordination with internal teams for service execution
• Support AMC, warranty, and customer retention activities

Requirements:

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Engineering
• 2–4 years of field service experience
• Exposure to vacuum pumps or rotating equipment preferred
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals
• Willingness to travel and attend emergency breakdowns
