Specialist – Curriculum & Educational Innovation


Purpose of the Role

Drive the design and implementation of future-ready learning experiences aligned with the school’s core purpose, values, and definition of learning. The role focuses on building high-quality, scalable programs and strengthening educator capability to deliver meaningful student outcomes.


Reporting To

Head – Centre of Excellence

Works closely with school leadership, instructional teams, and external partners.


Key Responsibilities


1. Learning Design & Program Development

  • Lead the design, development, and continuous refinement of curriculum and interdisciplinary programs across sections and campuses
  • Translate the school’s philosophy into structured, high-impact learning experiences with clear student outcomes
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify gaps in curriculum and instructional practices
  • Integrate global best practices and research into program design
  • Ensure alignment with accreditation standards and the school’s definition of learning


2. Innovation & Technology Integration

  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging tools, technologies, and pedagogical models
  • Design, pilot, and scale innovations in teaching, learning, and school processes
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships to support innovation and scalability


3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Implementation

  • Partner with Section Heads, Subject Leads, and Instructional Coaches to drive implementation
  • Support educators in translating program design into effective classroom practice
  • Align stakeholders around shared learning goals and outcomes


4. Professional Development & Capacity Building

  • Design and facilitate professional learning aligned to new programs and pedagogical shifts
  • Build educator capability in inquiry-based learning, assessment design, and use of technology/AI
  • Partner with the Professional Development team to create sustained learning journeys


5. Research, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using data and feedback
  • Refine programs based on insights and evolving needs
  • Contribute to a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement

  • Expertise in curriculum design, assessment, and interdisciplinary learning
  • Ability to translate educational philosophy into practice

  • Experience in designing and scaling innovative programs
  • Strong design thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and lead experimentation


Research & Analytical Thinking

  • Ability to conduct needs assessments and evaluate program impact
  • Strong synthesis skills to translate global practices into local context
  • Data-informed decision-making


Technology & Future Readiness

  • Familiarity with EdTech tools and emerging trends (including AI in education)
  • Ability to design meaningful technology-enabled learning experiences
  • Understanding of digital fluency and future skills


Collaboration & Influence

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence without authority across teams
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration


Adult Learning & Facilitation

  • Expertise in designing and delivering impactful professional development
  • Coaching and mentoring educators
  • Building long-term capacity, not just one-time training

  • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver outcomes
  • Attention to quality, timelines, and scalability


Communication & Leadership

  • Clear and structured communication (written and verbal)

  • Support thought leadership in teaching and learning



Qualifications and Experience

  • Masters degree in any Subject
  • B.Ed in Education
  • 10+ years of experience in curriculum design, pedagogy, instructional coaching, or education innovation
  • Experience working across multiple grade levels or curricula is an advantage
