Job Accountabilities
- Ensure upkeep and maintenance of the pipeline network, including draining and venting activities, route surveys, route marker maintenance, and regular pipeline walks.
- Use pipeline simulation software such as PIPESIM for pipeline analysis and operational requirements.
- Identify and carry out repairs for leaks in HDPE pipelines.
- Manage pigging work contracts, including coordination and monitoring of contractor activities.
- Coordinate with government authorities for pipeline route crossings/passing through National Highways, railway lines, and other regulated areas.
- Ensure smooth and safe execution of pigging operations.
Skills & Competencies
- Working knowledge of relevant pipeline operation codes, standards, and applicable regulations.
- Knowledge of HDPE pipeline leak identification and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in computers and MS Office, with working knowledge of PIPESIM software.
- Good coordination and communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
Education Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Pipeline, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience Required
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the upstream (E&P) Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery industry.
- Hands-on experience in Oil & Gas well pipeline operations, including pigging activities.
