Job Title: Technical Consultant – Linux Platform and virtualization
Experience 8 to 15 years
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Linux Solution Consultant with 8+ years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years in solution or platform consulting roles, with a strong understanding of VMware, KVM, and other enterprise virtualization platforms. The role requires leadership in solution architecture, platform integration, architecture governance, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to design and support integrated virtualized solutions aligned to business, security, and operational requirements. The focus is on outcomedriven delivery within regulated enterprise environments.

- KVM virtualization experience
- Strong infrastructure and compute background:
- Virtualization
- Networking
- Storage
- Security
- Strong capability to analyse customer requirements and develop viable technical solution proposals
- Strong understanding of Linux /Unix
- Kernel behavior, boot process, systemd
- Filesystems (ext4, XFS, GFS2)
- LVM, VxFS, multipathing, udev
- Experience in Serviceguard and pacemaker clustering technologies
- Strong understanding of Storage
- SAN/NAS concepts: FC, iSCSI, NFS
- Storage integration with Linux and virtualization platforms
- Strong understanding of Virtualization & Compute
- Extensive experience with KVM/libvirt (virsh, virt-install, virt-manager)
- Strong understanding of VMware concepts (ESXi, vCenter) and migration strategies
- CPU models, NUMA awareness, SR-IOV, PCI passthrough, nested virtualization
- Strong understanding of Networking
- Deep understanding of Linux networking:
- Bonding (LACP), bridging, VLANs
- TCP/IP fundamentals, MTU, jumbo frames
- Troubleshooting complex network paths in virtualized environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in regulated enterprise environments
- Exposure to automation and orchestration platforms
- Experience with large-scale enterprise infrastructure transformations
